GenSend Summer is designed to be one of the most exciting, intense, and unique student missionary experiences in North America. It immerses young adults into a context where they gain practical knowledge of the realities of missions and leadership. Participants will spend their time learning to live life on mission under the guidance of local practitioners, compassion ministry leaders, and church planters in a major city, on a college campus or at a Send Relief Ministry Center. While reinforcing gospel foundations and simple outreach practices, the intention of GenSend Summer is to be an extension of the local church’s planting and mercy and compassion efforts.

Adoptive Couple/Family

Partner with Global Friends, a ministry that engages International students at UNO. As an Adoptive Couple/Family, you would adopt an international student for the entire school year. This is not the legal adoption that most think about, but this is a way to share the gospel and the love of Jesus with the nations that have come to Omaha. Here is what to expect: Get paired up with an international student; Call them once a week to check in on them; Have them over for dinner or invite them to be a part of your family for a day once a month; offer to help them around the city. Remember these students are in a foreign culture, a foreign city, and have no family around. This is a great opportunity to simply build a relationship with someone and through that relationship, share the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples.
