In those times when you are hurting - physically, emotionally, or spiritually - it helps to have someone there who will listen, support, and encourage. Westside’s Pastoral Care department is here to help individuals, couples and families grow in their faith during these difficult times. Our Community Care Pastor, Brian Haston, oversees the following ministries.

Biblical Counseling Ministry
Our church is blessed to have a team of volunteer certified biblical counselors to serve our church family. These men, women and married couples come along side of people to work through tough challenges in their lives. If you are in need of counseling, please contact Pastor Brian.

Crossroads Ministry
Westside’s Crossroads Ministry is comprised of volunteer ministry lay leaders who facilitate specific support groups.
Divorce Care – Divorce Care is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.
Grief Share – Grief Share is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
Food Pantry
The Westside Food Pantry provides non-perishable food packages for individuals and families both within our church body and for the community. Food Pantry boxes must be requested by contacting the church office for an appointment at (402) 496-7833.
Care & Share
If you believe that the retirement years can be the beginning of an exciting chapter in your life, join the Care & Share senior adult ministry.
Care & Share meets together for lunch and a program on the third Tuesday of every month in the Big Room.

Growing in our knowledge and worship of God, faithful in our obedience to Christ, loving in our service to others.
What are the purposes of Care & Share?
Seek opportunities to share Jesus with those who do not know Him. To encourage those who do know Jesus to grow stronger in their commitment to Him. This is done with outreach to nursing homes, inspirational programs, and personal interaction.
Provide resources and activities that will honor Jesus and provide growth. This is done through devotions, the gospel message, prayer, and communion.
Provide social activities that will encourage fellowship and give a sense of belonging with our group. We also want to provide a network of care within the group, reaching out to others.
Provide learning opportunities for continued personal growth to add meaning to life. We do this through travel experiences, speakers, ministries, and the building of new relationships.
Encourage opportunities to share with others and to care for the needs of others within the group, within the church, and within the community. We do this through mission projects, nursing home ministry, Bible studies, and praying for each other.

Marriage, like all other good things, was created and given to mankind by God. As its creator and designer, God alone is able to instruct us in how to create, care for and develop this one-flesh relationship. As a church, we are committed to helping you with your wedding. Westside’s commitment to you goes beyond planning and conducting the ceremony itself. We want to help you establish a firm foundation for a strong and stable, Christ-honoring relationship. We believe this requires a clear understanding of the scriptural teachings concerning marriage, and we will attempt to guide and encourage you in this area.
